SEO Manager

Remote Based / Cornwall Office

Salary £29k - £35k Basic (dependent on experience)

As a SEO Manager, you’ll be in charge of your own clients, ensuring that they have the best SEO strategies in place for them to thrive. This role gives you the freedom to shape strategy and deliver meaningful results.

You will be involved in many stages of the client campaigns, from search intent, on-page, content, technical, outreach and strategy.

As well as having the drive to get things done, you will also be able to build strong relationships and provide valuable insight to your clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for client onboarding, optimisation and reporting.
  • Managing the performance of accounts, ensuring we are on track to deliver and identifying any issues.
  • Be the point of contact for the client, including communicating activity and ongoing performance.
  • Own all technical elements of SEO campaigns for various websites, including producing comprehensive technical audits and continuous monitoring of technical performance.
  • Create and implement client strategies and produce schedules.
  • Effectively prioritise activity that will have the most significant impact on client KPIs and objectives.
  • Provide hands-on delivery of work to improve on-site optimisation and inform strategies (e.g. keyword research, maintaining a healthy backlink profile, competitor analysis and implementing recommendations as and when required).
  • Work closely with the agency team to ensure all work is aligned with client goals.

Account Strategy

  • Maintain resource planner/digital plan.
  • Create forecasts for client accounts.
  • Develop a strong insight into each client's campaign and provide well-informed, strategic and timely advice to clients and internal departments to continually optimise activity.
  • Keep up to date with the latest SEO landscape changes and ensure these are communicated internally.

Insights

  • Provide data insights and analysis to improve account efficiencies and drive ROI for clients.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and present to the Account Managers.
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly reports, gathering data alongside insights.
  • Complete any ad-hoc reporting requested by clients or Managers.
  • Contribute to weekly client calls, including preparing performance results with insights, present these, write up and share any actions.
  • Conduct client meetings, providing insights on performance.

Our Requirements

  • Proven agency experience. (2+ Years)
  • Proven SEO experience across all areas of SEO including technical, strategy & account management.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs,etc.
  • Strong knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO techniques.
  • Experience with technical SEO (site audits, speed optimisation, structured data, etc.).
  • Experience handling SEO migrations for new site launches.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (preferred not required)
  • An inquisitive nature with a desire to learn more

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Web Designer to create beautiful, functional, and responsive websites. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both design and user experience (UX), with a strong understanding of web design trends and best practices. As a Web Designer at Hedgehog digital, you will work closely with developers, project managers, and other team members to bring creative concepts to life and ensure an outstanding digital experience for our clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design visually appealing and user-centric websites and web pages.
    • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that showcase design concepts.
    • Collaborate with the development team to implement designs and ensure consistency across platforms.
    • Work closely with clients to understand their brand, objectives, and vision.
    • Optimise designs for mobile responsiveness and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
    • Maintain and update existing websites as needed.
    • Ensure designs align with the company’s brand identity and client needs.
    • Conduct user research and testing to enhance UX/UI.

    Key Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Web Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of web design work.
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, etc.
    • Solid understanding of web design principles, colour theory, typography, and layout.
    • Experience with responsive and adaptive design for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
    • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (knowledge of front-end development is a plus).
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
    • A keen eye for aesthetics and a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or related field (preferred but not required).
    • Familiarity with WordPress, Shopify, or other content management systems (CMS).
    • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility standards.
    • Experience with UX/UI design or testing methodologies.
